Dry Needling
We provide dry needling therapy in Baltimore which is a technique used to treat muscle and myofascial restrictions and dysfunctions. We use a thin monofilament needle and do not inject any medications. The needles target specific muscle trigger points to relax an overactive muscle. It can promote blood flow, healing, and decrease process that cause pain.
Is this the same as acupuncture?
While the needles used are the same, the methods are vastly different. We use our needles to release trigger points to reduce tightness, pain, and increased flexibility and range of motion.
Acupuncture uses specific points in the body based on meridians to conduct energy and are usually inserted very shallow.
How Much does it cost?
Dry Needling can be included with part of your PT visit. Without PT visits it will cost: $75/session
